Yacht rentals in Los Cabos

Renting a yacht in Los Cabos with Otaduy means renting from the owner: a family company at Marina Puerto Los Cabos that has operated its own crewed fleet since 2003. No brokered boats, no per person tickets, and no hidden fuel charges. One yacht, your group only, all inclusive.

How renting works

You rent the whole yacht for a set number of hours, from a two hour sunset tour to a full eight hour day, with four and six hour days in between. The rate covers the captain and crew, fuel, food prepared aboard, open bar, and snorkeling gear. Water toys come with the yacht: each page in the fleet lists exactly what that boat carries. Because pricing is per yacht, a group of ten renting Bésame or sixteen renting CIAO usually spends less per guest than the same group would on a shared catamaran, and keeps the boat to themselves.

The fleet, by group size

Five yachts cover every rental from a couple’s sunset to a thirty guest celebration: Bésame, a 2024 Pardo 43 for up to 10 guests; CIAO, a Pardo 50 with Seakeeper stabilization for 16; Telemachus, a Nautitech 46 sailing catamaran for 18; Cardinale, an Azimut 70 Flybridge for 20; and GO, the 112 foot Leopard flagship for up to 30 day guests. GO, Cardinale, CIAO, and Telemachus also sleep guests aboard for overnight trips.

Where you can go

Day rentals run the corridor between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas: swimming at Palmilla, snorkeling in the sanctuaries of Chileno and Santa María, the Arch at Land’s End, and Médano Beach. Details are on the Los Cabos page, and the route into Cabo San Lucas itself has its own page, yacht charters in Cabo San Lucas. From December to April the corridor doubles as a whale watching route. On multi day rentals, selected yachts head north through the Sea of Cortés to La Paz and Espíritu Santo. If you already know your stops, sketch the day in the itinerary builder and send it to the team with one tap.

When to rent

There is no wrong month. From December to April the corridor fills with gray and humpback whales, and a normal rental sees them without changing course, which makes winter the most requested season and the one to book earliest. Late summer into fall brings the warmest water of the year for swimming and snorkeling. Year round, mornings are usually the calmest hours on the Sea of Cortés side, so groups who care most about flat water tend to book the earlier departures and leave sunsets for the champagne.

Booking in three steps

First, send your date, group size, and preferred yacht through the availability form or WhatsApp. Second, the team confirms availability and the exact all inclusive price for your duration, with no add ons afterward. Third, a deposit locks the date, and the crew takes care of everything else, including ground transportation to the marina or a beach pickup along the corridor. The full process, including what happens on the day, is described on the how chartering works page.

Questions

Yacht rental questions

How much does a yacht rental in Los Cabos cost?
Pricing is per yacht and per duration, all inclusive, not per person. Rates depend on the yacht and the length of the day, and the team confirms exact pricing for your date on WhatsApp at +52 624 235 1208 or through the availability form.
Is the rental bareboat or crewed?
Crewed, always. Otaduy operates its own fleet with professional captains and crews; there is no self skippered option. No license or experience is needed because you are hosted from the moment you board.
How many hours can I rent a yacht for?
Day rentals run from two hour sunset tours to full eight hour days, with four and six hour options in between. Selected yachts also run multi day trips north to La Paz and Espíritu Santo.
What comes with the rental?
Captain and crew, fuel, food prepared aboard, open bar, and snorkeling gear are always included. Each yacht page lists the water toys that yacht carries, from Seabobs and paddleboards to the waterslide on GO.
Can I rent a yacht for a birthday or a large group?
Yes. Cardinale takes up to 20 guests and GO, the 112 foot flagship, hosts up to 30 day guests with a crew of eight. For bigger events the team can run several yachts of the fleet together.
Where does the rental start?
At Marina Puerto Los Cabos in San José del Cabo, with ground transportation arranged from anywhere in Los Cabos. Corridor resorts also allow direct beach pickup at Palmilla, Chileno, or Santa María.
How do I book?
Send your date and group size through the availability form or WhatsApp. The team confirms the yacht and itinerary with you directly, and a deposit secures the date.
